Bug #5759
openCatalog Pre-Order – Product shows Out of Stock and Pre-Order Limit becomes 0 after activation
0%
Description
Environment: Production / Testing
Module: Product → Catalog Creation → E-commerce Pre-Order Stock
Steps to Reproduce:
Create a new product with stock quantity = 100.
Go to Catalog Creation and create a catalog entry:
Select the product
Set Pre-order Quantity = 50
Activate the catalog.
Go to E-commerce product listing.
Observe stock status.
Go back to Edit Catalog and check the Pre-Order Limit value.
Actual Result:
The product appears as Out of Stock in E-commerce ❌
Pre-order quantity does NOT reduce the main product stock (stock remains 100) ❌
In Edit Catalog:
Pre-Order Limit shows 0, even though 50 was set ❌
System is treating pre-order quantity incorrectly and marking product unavailable.
Expected Result:
If Pre-Order quantity = 50 is set:
Pre-order limit must show 50, not 0
Product must show Available for Pre-Order, not Out of Stock
Catalog activation should:
Keep the product available until pre-order limit is reached
Display correct pre-order quantity + stock status
The product should not become out of stock unless pre-order limit is fully sold.
