Description

  1. [UI/UX] E-Commerce Homepage Redesign (Mobile & Desktop) - Phase 1

Epic: Core Experience / Design System
Assignee: Unassigned
Reporter: Product Management / Technical Lead
Labels: `design`, `e-commerce`, `ios-style`, `desktop`, `mobile`, `us-market`
Priority: High

  1. Description
Design a high-converting, modern e-commerce homepage tailored for U.S. consumers, emphasizing iOS-inspired aesthetic elements (glassmorphism, subtle blur effects, refined typography, and clean depth). The design must cover both Desktop (1440px) and Mobile (390px / iPhone viewport) viewports, providing two distinct style variations for every major section to give stakeholders and developers flexible implementation options.

  1. Acceptance Criteria
    - [ ] Dual Viewports Delivered: Complete, high-fidelity Figma artboards provided for both Desktop and Mobile.
    - [ ] Two Style Variations: At least two distinct visual design concepts created for every core section (Categories, Banners, Product Cards, etc.).
    - [ ] Glassmorphic & iOS Aesthetic: Proper application of frosted glass effects (`backdrop-filter`), smooth corner radii, and clean high-contrast U.S.-market styling.
    - [ ] Interactive Component States: Designs account for default, hover, active, empty, and loading states where applicable.
    - [ ] Dev Handoff Ready: Auto-layout properly configured, layer names standardized, and color/typography tokens documented for frontend engineering.

  1. Sub-Tasks
  1. 1. Header & Global Navigation
  • [ ] Design Header Variation A (Minimalist sticky glassmorphic bar with integrated search and floating badge counts).
  • [ ] Design Header Variation B (Expanded multi-tier utility bar with prominent category quick-links and account drawer trigger).
  • [ ] Include real-time elements: Global Search with auto-suggest dropdown state, Wishlist counter, and active Cart drawer trigger.
  1. 2. Promotional Offer Banners (Grid System)
  • [ ] Single Hero Banner: Design 2 variations (Option A: Immersive edge-to-edge photography with bold CTA; Option B: Centered card container with floating glass badge).
  • [ ] Dual Banners (2-Offer Grid): Design 2 variations (Option A: Equal 50/50 split; Option B: Asymmetrical 60/40 focal layout).
  • [ ] Triple & Multi-Banners (3+ Offers): Design 2 variations (Option A: 3-column structured grid; Option B: Bento-box style mixed aspect ratio layout).
  1. 3. Core Product & Engagement Sections
  • [ ] Categories Section: Design Variation A (Circular lifestyle photo cards) vs. Variation B (Glassmorphic icon tiles with subtle gradient fills).
  • [ ] Best Sellers Section: Design Variation A (Horizontal snap-scroll carousel) vs. Variation B (Clean 4-column desktop / 2-column mobile grid).
  • [ ] Featured Products & Recently Viewed: Design 2 variations for each section focusing on interactive hover states, quick-add triggers, and discount badges.
  1. 4. Design System & Handoff Preparation
  • [ ] Establish U.S.-market-friendly color palette tokens (neutral backgrounds, high-contrast CTAs).
  • [ ] Define typography scale and hierarchy.
  • [ ] Organize Figma frames into clean sections with component specifications ready for frontend review.
