Description
Today’s Development Work – Catering Functionality
1. Resolved Customer-Facing Catering Issues
- Investigated the catering-related issues reported in the customer-facing application.
- Identified and fixed the issues affecting catering item selection and ordering.
2. Resolved Previous Tray Pricing Issue
- Fixed an issue where adding a tray to an existing/previous order was incorrectly adding the base item price.
- Updated the pricing logic to ensure the selected tray price is used correctly.
3. Validated Order Placement
- Verified that the correct tray and corresponding price are displayed while placing the order.
- Confirmed that the corrected pricing is carried through the order flow.
4.Resolved Catering-Only Menu Item Visibility Issue- Identified an issue where menu items configured as “Available Only for Catering” were successfully added in the business/POS side but were not displayed in the customer-facing catering order.
- Investigated the menu item availability and catering-specific filtering logic.
- Fixed the issue to ensure catering-only menu items are correctly displayed in the customer-facing catering order flow.
- Verified that the configured catering items are now available for customers to select and order.
After that i have tested the application and these are the issues raised by me
1.Instead of using dots to indicate Veg and Non-Veg, can we use food-related symbols/icons, similar to the approach used by Swiggy, in the customer-facing app?
2.The Coupon Code and Coupon Name fields are currently accepting too many characters. Can we restrict both fields to a fixed maximum number of characters to ensure consistent data entry and a cleaner UI?
3.When combo offers are added in the customer-facing app, they are not working properly. When I try to order a combo offer, "undefined" is being added to the cart, and the combo offer itself is not being added to the cart. Please check and fix the combo offer cart functionality
4.When I order a particular combo offer and the minimum bill amount required for the coupon is reached, the coupon should pass validation. However, I am getting an "Invalid Coupon Configuration" error even though the minimum bill amount condition is satisfied. Please check and fix the coupon validation logic for combo offers
5.In the menu, Deselect and Clear currently appear to perform the same functionality. What is the purpose of having both options?
If there is a functional difference between Deselect and Clear, please clarify the expected behavior of each. Otherwise, can we consider removing one of them to avoid confusion for users?
6.In the POS, I am adding Full Tray, Half Tray, and Small Tray as catering order item options. However, in the customer-facing app, Half Tray is displayed twice .Can you please check the catering item configuration and fix the issue
7.Price Adjustment, the Adjust Amount field is currently accepting too many digits. Can you please add proper validation and restrict the field to a fixed number of digits/decimal places
8.When I adjust the price of a menu item, the updated price is not reflected in the Menu Item Price. Also, there is no Save option available after updating the menu price
9.When I try to activate a deactivated user, the Confirm Activation popup is displayed correctly. However, after clicking Activate, the activation process sometimes gets stuck, and the user's status/action is not updated
10.In the Tables section, the search field is not working correctly. When I search for an existing table by its table name, the system displays “No table found”, even though the table exists
