Self-Service Stripe Customer Billing Portal Integration¶
Implemented self-service billing portal integration enabling tenants to manage their payment methods, invoices, and billing info:
1. Backend Endpoint
- Implemented `POST /api/v1/superadmin/tenant-billing/customer-portal`:
- Validates tenant company ID and retrieves Stripe Customer ID.
- Creates a Stripe Billing Portal session with dynamic `return_url`.
- Securely returns session URL to the client.
- Validates tenant company ID and retrieves Stripe Customer ID.
- Creates a Stripe Billing Portal session with dynamic `return_url`.
- Securely returns session URL to the client.
2. Frontend Integration (CompanyProfile.tsx)
- Connected `Update Payment Method` button in top notice banners for `past_due` accounts.
- Added `Manage in Stripe` triggers with loading state indicators.
- Cleaned up redundant button duplicates across the Company Profile view to provide a clean, single-action user experience.
3. Verification
- Verified portal URL generation and return flow on localhost.
- Verified that updating payment method in portal resolves failed payment retries.
